“वादे वादे जायते तत्त्वबोधः।”
Through every debate, the essence of truth becomes clearer.
With this profound invocation, the Inter-House Debate Competition, held on 15 November 2025 at David Model Senior Secondary School, commenced with great academic vigour for Classes VI to VIII. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of our Principal Sir and adjudicated by the discerning judges Mr. Jitin Kumar (PGT Computer) and Mr. Jitendra Kumar (PGT English).
A debate, as an intellectually stimulating discourse, empowers learners to refine critical reasoning, articulate thoughts with precision, and examine diverse viewpoints with maturity. It cultivates research aptitude, logical clarity, and the art of dignified rebuttal.
Speaking in favour of the motion “Artificial Intelligence creates more problems than it solves,” the articulate speakers of Yellow House reinforced their arguments with the śloka:
“अत्यन्तं यद् विज्ञानं तद् विनाशाय कल्पते।”
highlighting that unrestrained technological expansion may lead to ethical dilemmas and societal vulnerabilities.
Opposing the motion, the eloquent speakers of Blue House strengthened their stance with:
“विद्या ददाति विनयं विनयाद् याति पात्रताम्।”
asserting that knowledge, when governed by humility, becomes a catalyst for innovation and progressive transformation.
In an impressive display of clarity, research, and eloquence, Blue House secured the First Position, followed by Yellow House as the Runner-Up, with Red House achieving the Third Position.
The event concluded with the timeless proverb:
“Technology is a good servant but a dangerous master.”
The competition proved intellectually enriching, offering students a balanced, insightful perspective on the promises and perils of Artificial Intelligence.
